Srila Prabhupada

His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the Founder-Acarya of the Interneational Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). A pure devotee of Krishna and the current guru in the Brahma Madhva Gaudiya disciplic succession.

Srila Prabhupada, in his youth, was ordered by his spiritutal master Srila Bhaktsiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur to preach the message of Lord Krishna in the Western countries. Although at that time he was a family man and a business man producing medical products, and he was not immediatly able to travel to America, Srila Prabhupada accepted this order of Srila Bhaktsiddhanta, his spiritual master, as his life and soul.

At the age of almost seventy years old Srila Prabhupada got to oportunity to travel to New York City and then after a year of struggling alone, gradually some frustrated hippies started to join his ISKCON movement, and they felt great relief and spiritual bliss in the teachings of Srila Prabhupada.
